The Endeavour
James Cook’s famous ship, the Endeavour, is well known like its captain for voyages of discovery. Cook was the commander of a scientific fact-finding expedition by the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge. Cook and crew sailed around the globe, particularly Australia and the Pacific Isles. Among one of the most notable things Cook’s expedition is remembered for, other than the naming of several places in Australia, is the discovery of Vitamin C for scurvy prevention.

Fact-Finding
See there? You might have just learned something, or been reminded of something you once learned. It is vital that you keep learning new things daily as you go throughout life. Not only does this keep you a current, marketable possible employee, but it will keep your life from getting boring. It could even help keep you alive and kicking; research has shown that cognitively active elderly test subjects are less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease than less cognitively active patients.

Lifelong Learning
Lifelong Learning is one of the joys about living in the age we live in now. Every day as we live and breathe, information is changing, revising, and expanding as the human race moves on, creates, and discovers new things. We owe it to ourselves—you owe it to yourself—to keep it up. Learn how to become a lifelong learner here at The Endeavour Academy, and start your own journey of learning.
